5. Non-Binary Parenting

This week we go international, dialling into California to speak to non-binary parent and intertidal ecologist Ariel (they/them) to discuss the challenges they faced with their trans husband on their journey to parenthood.

Ariel recounts the troubles and tribulations they had when pursuing parenthood, from space-tech sperm donation deliveries to the inherent sexism built into the U.S. health system regarding fertility treatment.

Ariel shares their own journey of gender-identity and shines some light on the more trivial matters a couple faces when one parent has transitioned.
